POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for overseeing the studio to ensure it is well-maintained and that customer service standards are upheld to YogaSix standards. He/she will assist with all aspects of studio functionality including sales and operations as well as supervision of sales team to include scheduling and evaluation. He/she must have strong customer service skills, knowledge of computers and point-of-sale (POS) software, be able to communicate in an effective and efficient way, be team-oriented and have a drive and passion for sales and service.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must be able to work hours that may exceed 6 hours per day and/or 30 hours per week including nights and weekends, especially during peak activity periods. Employees may be required to sit or stand for up to four hours at a time. May be required to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to bend, lift, kneel, and drive a car. May be asked to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and must be able to effectively hear in person and via telephone

● This position offers a competitive hourly rate ($18-$25) based on experience & performance

SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN:
Successful Assistant General Managers develop a broad and marketable skill set through their time in this role that are very transferable throughout the fitness market, as well as many industries outside of fitness. Asst. GMs are able to promote their sales skills, management experience, impact in marketing and the lead generation process, operations, and client care. This is an excellent position if your goal is to ultimately manage a boutique fitness space, or to develop these skills to be applied in other industries

DUTIES
Revenue Generation: The primary focus of the studio’s Assistant General Manager is to manage and grow all revenue streams including:
- Selling Memberships, Intro Offers and Class Packages
- Selling and organizing retail merchandise
- Selling & Marketing special workshops, private lessons and virtual YTT
- Generating consistent lead flow through a blend of grassroots marketing, social media, and member referrals
- Booking first-time and repeat appointments
- Contacting leads in a timely manner to establish relationship
- Following the initial class experience, presenting best membership options based on goals
- Ensure new members are onboarded properly and continue to feel value of membership through both utilizing classes and ensuring class quality is exceptional
- Support grassroots marketing partnership efforts on a weekly basis to drive new leads
- Assist with social media management
- Assist with maintenance issues, inventory and cleaning
- Participate in studio meetings and trainings as needed
- Work closely with Owner and General Manager to ensure success of the studio
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Fitness & Retail Sales Experience
- 2+ years of retail/service sales or fitness sales experience
- Proven experience in generating and following up on leads
- Must be reliable and dependable to arrive to work on time when expected and maintain a consistent work schedule
- Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the phone and via email or SMS
- Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients and the general public
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor and act respectfully and professionally at all times
- Solid writing and grammar skills
- Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgment
- Highly organized, proficient in data management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Professional, punctual, reliable and neat
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Trustworthy and ability to handle confidential information
- Proficient with computers and Studio software
